Becoming a virtual assistant saved me from a job that I miserable at and where I was not treated very well. I was depressed and since I did not complete my college education, I thought I would always be stuck in this situation. Then I learned that my real estate experience and unique skills would translate well into the "virtual" world and that I was more valuable than I thought. When I opened my doors for my VA business I was able to be my own boss, run my business on MY terms, and work only with the clients I know will truly appreciate what I do for them. I finally love what I am doing for a living! It has improved my attitude, my life and has given me a bright outlook on my future.

Being a virtual assistant has given me confidence and belief in myself, it has shown me that I'm capable of so much more than I thought. Being a single woman, it has allowed me to support myself financially while giving me control over my life. My virtual business has allowed me to be there for my family during some medical crises, which is extremely important to me. Working virtually has allowed me to move 1000 miles from where I grew up to an area that I absolutely love and am able to thrive both personally and professionally in. Working virtually I'm not tied to a particular geographic location, I have been given the best of both worlds-a successful, thriving career and the ability to live in one of the most beautiful areas I know of. I deal with some medical issues which made it difficult to juggle my physical health and the demands of an employer's schedule. Opening my own virtual business has helped me to take control of my personal health by allowing me flexibility in my schedule. Getting the job done well is what's important-not the time of day it's completed.

By being a Virtual Assistant, it has given me the opportunity to help people in a positive way. I am able to give them the office support that they may not otherwise be able to have (no overhead, no added office space, etc.)

By allowing personal, educational and professional freedom to enhance my service offerings to my clients. I am able to to have full creative control of my business and to give 100% of my self to my clients! Being in charge of my future is both scarey but very rewarding!

Being a VA has given me the opportunity to stay home with my children and still utilize my skills and talents in a profesional way. I am able to have the freedom to play an active role in my kids lives and still contribrute to my families financial well-being.

Having my own business and providing VA services to other businesses is a refreshing and rewarding experience. I love being able to help other businesses grow and watch other VA's grow too. Being a sufferer of migraines and having a VA business which I run from home, I am able to achieve my goals without having to worry about taking time off for my migraines. Being my own boss is definately amazing too - it makes you take stock of your strengths and weaknesses, and work with them, or 'fix' them!

Simply put, being a Virtual Assistant has allowed me to: * Do what I love and love what I do. * Be home with my baby daughter. * Use ALL of my skills. * Help people start and run their business. * Do anything I want.

For me, being a virtual assistant has offered me so much more than I could have imagined. Besides being less stressed and healthier, I have more freedom to enjoy what is important...my daughter, now 2 1/2 years old. She is the main reason I started my virtual assistance business because I refused to accept that I had to be away from her for 10 hours a day between commuting to and from work and daycare, only to come home, make dinner, give her a bath, and put her to bed only to do it all over again the next day. I didn't want to miss a thing and didn't want her growing up feeling like she never saw her parents. My husband is very supportive of my business. He gives me the freedom I need to run a successful business and the business gives me the freedom to choose my clients, my projects, my hours, and more.

Finding the VAnetworking and the virtual assistant industry was my salvation; giving me the inspiration, hope and courage to start my business. I’m proud to be a member of such a truly remarkable revolution. Having been a single mother (years ago) working two or three jobs to make ends meet, daycare issues, never enough time with my daughter, etc, I’m thrilled that in this new era, so many of my fellow VA’s are able to truly have what we, an older generation, struggled to achieve. To have it all: the ability to raise their families, work in a productive, satisfying field, being leaders of their destinies, creating an outstanding community and enjoying life. I will be fortunate to escape the corporate jungle after it’s taken its toll on my health; mentally, physically and emotionally with an early retirement. My VA business will allow me to earn money to supplement my income and stay connected to exciting professionals, on my terms: including the freedom to travel, choosing clients who match my values, caring for my aging mother and enjoying my grandchildren, as my life continues to evolve.

Virtually Amazing

Becoming a virtual assistant and more importantly, succeeding as a virtual assistant, has enriched my life in ways I never imagined. I can be at home with my children without solely depending on my husband's income to support us. I am using my brain and my skills to operate a thriving business and that makes me so proud. I have been at home with both of my children since they were born and I have not missed ONE moment in their development. At the same time I've given small business owners their own freedoms by tending to their administrative needs. My VA business has allowed me to give in to my entrepreneurial spirit while being home with my family and THAT is a dream come true for me.

Not only did I get one of my first clients from VAnetworking.com, after three years in my business...I got another client from the RFP section just a month ago! This is a very valuable board for getting information from your peers and those who have "done it before" - but more importantly, you can get clients by being a member.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have joined sooner and participated even more in VAnetworking than I did. The resources, access to RFPs, and the seminars are truly life-changing (and business changing!) Don't spend a bunch of money on some training program that has teachers that may or may not be any good. Tawnya's VBSS system, as well as her forum, have been proven time and time again to be all you need for true business success as a Virtual Assistant.
Jennifer Gniadecki - Atypical VA

“In the time I’ve been a member at VAnetworking, my virtual assistant business has grown from having zero clients to a near full time practice. I attribute a large part of that success to having a place like VAnetworking to come to for helpful, friendly advice, to find solutions to problems, to learn about new ideas and techniques, and to find talented virtual assistants who have helped me grow my business.”
Yvonne McCoy - Swift Office Services
